A comprehensive tour of the island will include the Fort Jesus, built by the Portuguese in 1593, guarding the entrance to the Old Harbour. It still stands today as a museum holding a fascinating collection of historic coastal artifacts. The tour further takes you to the old Arab town with its maze of narrow twisting carved doors, goldsmiths and curio shops, Hindu temple and finally, the Akamba Handicraft Co-operative, where over 1900 members produce a great variety of reasonably priced wood carvings. Before returning to your hotel,  a drive to the Bazaar for a short shopping expedition.

Lunch at a hotel and later visit the falconry - an exotic bird farm, before returning to your hotel.

Kenya Marinas
Boarding the Dhows commences at approximately 15:30 hrs at the Kenya Marine land jetty. The evening begins with a leisurely sail into the inland waterways of Mtwapa Creek on a traditional Arabian Dhow. Experience the sun setting over the African wilderness. The cooking fires of the local villages scent the air. Capture exquisite sunset views lined with giant Baobab trees. Relax to the some smoothing entertainment while taking in the breath-taking tropical scenery. As night falls, the stars begin to shine and the Dhows join together. Torches are lit up and the best of cow hide drums set the scene for a spectacular Limbo and Acrobatic display, followed by an authentic African fashion show.
With the night set in, a host of Masai warriors bearing flaming torches, line the shores, chanting their welcome ritual for the arrival back at the Aquamarine restaurant. As guests make their way ashore, into the candle-lit, open air, palm tree terrace, it is lit up to the rich sounds of our African choir. Guests then wine and dine at their leisure.
Departure from the Kenya Marine land is approximately at 22:30 hrs.

Shimoni & Kisite
This tour takes you by road to Shimoni - approximately 85 miles south of the urban Centre’s of Mombasa. At Shimoni, you bored an Old Arab dhow, now motorized for flexibility and sail through an enchanting seascape of islets and reefs to the marvels of the underwater world at the Kisite Marine National park. Time means nothing here, as you float in an exotic world of marine fantasy while even the most critical gastronomic tastes will be satiated with a locally-caught seafood lunch. Return to the jetty where the bus awaits your arrival to take you back to your hotel.

Pilli Pipa Dhow
The "Pilli-Pipa" dhow is more correctly referred to as an Arabia Red Sea Sambuki, built of teak. The beautiful motorised dhow is well equipped, including life jackets, inboard W.C. cushioned sun-beds, snorkelling equipment: and her fully trained crew, and the marine guide ensure her passengers every comfort.
The Arab style dhow "Pilli-Pipa" departs from Shimoni jetty at 08:30 hrs onwards, and returns at approximately 16:00hrs. The full day excursion provides a fascinating guided snorkelling safari in the famous Kisite Marine National Park. The park, together with surrounding islands has an extensive reef system, and is the home of crystal waters, which ensures an exciting variety of coral life, and an abundance of vibrantly coloured tropical fish. This is followed by the exhilarating experience of a dhow under sail (weather permitting) on the way to Wasini Island, for a memorable seafood lunch. The Al-Fresco lunch is served with wine, within the grounds of a private property, on this unspoilt island. Numbers are limited, to not only maintain the private nature of the excursion, but also to minimize the intrusion on Kisite's fragile marine environment.

Tamarind Dhow
Transfer from your hotel to the Tamarind jetty where the Arab dhow is anchored, ready to sail. The dhow passes the floodlit area of the Old Harbour and Tudor Creek. Dinner is prepared by the chefs, as you enjoy the sunset and listen to the music of a live band. After a delicious meal, the anchor is dropped. Dance to the strains of the resident band, returning to the jetty for transfer back to your hotel.

Evening Dhow
A romantic Dhow sundowner Cruise along the shores of the picturesque island of Mombasa starts off an enchanting evening not to be missed. As the darkness sets in, we dock at our private jetty and proceed to fort Jesus. "Arab and Portuguese" men, bearing fire torches, guard the entrance of the Fort, constructed by the Portuguese in the 16th Century - the venue for a Sound and Light presentation of turbulent History of the East African Coast.
A "Candelabra-lit setting" creates the atmosphere for a unique Dinner served within the Fortress waiters in Portuguese attire. Following the feast, you can return to your hotel, or, at an early request, continue with the evening's programme to the Casino and the Bora Bora Nightclub for the spectacular midnight show, after which you are returned to your hotel.
Please Note: If you participate in the full night programme, gents are requested to wear long trousers (Casino + Nightclub). Children less than 18 years are not allowed access to the Casino and Nightclub.

Dolphin Dhow
Transfer from your hotel to Shimoni where you will be escorted by Dolphin experts makes this more than a dhow trip. Our knowledge makes a meeting with the friendly local dolphins a real probability. It is in their coral garden where we will snorkel and marvel at the prolific marine life. A traditional lunch on board ensures maximum time for dolphin spotting. Island Exploring provides good vantage points overlooking the dolphin's playground and leisurely sailing provides tranquil silence to listen out for dolphin whistles blowing off the sea. As with any wild animal safari, sightings cannot be absolutely guaranteed, however, a most enjoyable day can! Don't forget to bring swimwear, a hat, rubber or canvas shoes, mask and snorkel (if owned) and money for souvenirs.
